October 2025 New Spooky Ducks are having a Monster Mash!

Spooky season is upon us and if there is one thing we take seriously at our branch, it’s Halloween. Last year five spooky #LibraryDucks made their debut for Caspian’s Costume Party. The likes of Count Quackula, Webby the Witch, Gordo S. Pumpkins, Paul Poultrygeist, and Brendan F. Mummies were joined this year by Guillermo’s Monster, inspired by Frankenstein as well as everyone’s favorite ‘wereduck,’ Wolfie and the silly skeleton, Skully. We opened our Interaction Lab recently with our latest spooky flair. Stop by to check it out and claim your spooky bookmark.

Can’t make it this spooky season? Don’t be afraid, you can download our activities, duck facts trading cards and bookmark here.

Our neighbors at the mall are coming together on the 24th for the Halloween event Spooky Streets! Check out our booth near the library, just across the road in front of the Regal Cinema. We’ll have candy and library goodies while supplies last and you might even see some of your favorite librarians dressed up as cartoon characters.

The year of gaming Kontinues with the granddaddy of brutal fighters, the newly rebooted and reimagined Mortal Kombat 1. The timeline has been reset and Klassic fighters are back for the latest Mortal Kombat Tournament. Choose your fighter, master the Kombos and become the fiercest fighter on your block. I grew up with these in the arcades and on the Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo, XX years later, I’m still absolutely terrible at them, but that doesn’t stop the fun by any means. XD
